HEAVY CIVIL

Heavy civil construction is the backbone of the TL Wallace legacy. But our services in this arena are far from a historical footnote. With $31 million in highway, bridge, and infrastructure projects in 2015, we’re a competitive force in the Southern United States.

But we bring more to the table than competitive pricing:

  • A 150-plus workforce, including skilled and experienced heavy equipment operators, project managers and plan designers that can collaborate with licensed engineering firms on construction blueprints – and all dedicated to a safe work environment.

  • Equipment resources with over 300 bulldozers and excavators, boring machines and rock crushers (with screening plants), and access to over 70 cranes.

  • Over fifty years of experience and a solid reputation for superior service in site work, highway and bridge construction, and underground drainage.

I-20 Project, Clinton, MS

These assets add tangible value to our customers’ projects. It’s why we’ve been able to build solid working relationships with government agencies like the Mississippi and Louisiana Departments of Transportation and industrial clients like Georgia-Pacific and Entergy Corporation.

As a result, we’ve been privileged to contribute to several major civil projects over the last decade:

  • Highway 90 bridge replacement following Hurricane Katrina, Ocean Springs, Mississippi.

  • Flowood Drive widening project, Jackson, Mississippi.

  • Site work for 22 miles of new Highway 67 to Highway 605 (Tradition Parkway interchange), South Mississippi.

  • Interstate bridge widening to facilitate emergency traffic during contraflow: 12 bridges on I-59, Pearl River County, Mississippi.

  • 9 bridges on I-55, Lincoln County, Mississippi.

  • Dam remediation, including construction of slurry trench, bypass-relief ditch and secondary spillway, Percy Quin State Park, McComb, Mississippi.

Our resources, experience and reputation all add up to one conclusion: we’re capable, reliable and flexible to build and manage your next heavy civil project.
